This is the streamer WiiM builds for listeners who intend to use the analogue outputs seriously. An AKM Velvet Sound DAC handles conversion, and its measured noise and distortion sit low enough that the streamer stops being the weak link in front of a good amplifier.
It also treats external sources with respect. A CD player or a turntable with a phono stage connects over RCA or optical and plays through the same system, with the high-resolution input stage keeping the signal honest on the way in.
The rest of the package matches the ambition: the voice remote ships in the box, a trigger output wakes the power amplifier with the music, and casting and voice support cover iPhone, Android, Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri households alike.
