There is a faster way to modernise a good older amplifier than replacing it. The WiiM Mini plugs into a spare input, hides behind the equipment it upgrades, and puts today's streaming services on a system that never had them.
Connection is one cable. Optical feeds a DAC or digital input for the cleanest path, or the 3.5 mm output runs into any spare analogue input, and the aux input even lets an older source join the party. The WiiM Home app then looks after services, presets and the sound itself.
Setup runs through the app in a few minutes, the touch surface on top covers play, pause and volume, and a word to Alexa or Siri handles the rest. For a bedroom system, a study or a first streaming upgrade, this is the smallest possible step with the least possible fuss.
