Sonos Sub Mini adds a dedicated bass channel to a compatible Sonos music or television system. Its cylindrical cabinet is scaled for Beam, Ray, Era 100 and other smaller Sonos rooms where the full-size Sub 4 would be excessive.
Two inward-facing woofers operate in a sealed enclosure, cancelling much of the mechanical vibration that would otherwise shake the cabinet. With Sub Mini handling bass, the main Sonos speakers can concentrate on their own frequency range.
Pairing, level, phase and Trueplay tuning for Sub Mini are handled through the Sonos app. This Sub Mini still needs mains power, and its placement should be tested in more than one practical location before the room measurement is saved.
