QED Silver Anniversary-XT Speaker Cable with X-Tube™ Technology

The Silver Anniversary-XT keeps all of that and adds QED's X-Tube™ conductor geometry, so more of the signal your amplifier sends actually reaches your speakers.

Why X-Tube™ matters

At high frequencies, current tends to crowd toward the outside of a solid conductor. This is called skin effect, and in a conventional cable it means the fine detail in cymbals, strings and vocal sibilance travels through a smaller effective cross-section than the bass does. X-Tube™ arranges the conductors around a hollow core so every strand sits near the surface. The result is a more even response from top to bottom, lower inductance, and the kind of detail retrieval you would normally expect from far more expensive cable.

Built for the long haul

• Silver-plated 99.999% oxygen-free copper. A unique SPOFC triple-braid construction (5 × 16 × 0.1 mm) for low resistance and a smooth top end.
• Nitrogen-injected foamed polyethylene dielectric. Lowers capacitance so the cable stays out of the way of your amplifier.
• Triple-layer insulation. Reduces interference and signal loss, and keeps the cable flexible enough to route neatly behind a rack.
• Slim 3.9 mm jacket. Fits standard 4 mm banana plugs, spade terminals and bare-wire binding posts alike.
