The Reserve R400 is the full-size centre channel, and it exists for rooms where the front three have to match a pair of floorstanders rather than a pair of standmounts.
Two large turbine cones give it the cone area to hold dialogue solid at cinema levels, and sensitivity is the highest anywhere in the Reserve range, which counts when the centre carries most of a soundtrack.
Dual rear ports with Eigentone filtering extend the low end while damping the internal resonances that give large centre cabinets their boxy character.
At close to fifteen kilograms and over half a metre wide it needs real furniture beneath it. Given that, it is the centre channel that stops a front stage collapsing back into the screen, and it holds that composure as the volume climbs.
