The Reserve R100 is the compact standmount in the Polk Reserve range, built around driver technology taken from the flagship Legend series but engineered for a system most people can actually afford.
Its ring radiator tweeter carries much of the range's character. The design reaches well beyond audibility and keeps composure at the top of its band, where a conventional dome tends to harden as the level rises.
Below it a turbine cone handles the mid and bass, vanes stiffening the cone so that it moves as a piston instead of flexing. That rigidity keeps the midrange clean when an arrangement turns dense.
A rear port extends the low end and an eight ohm nominal load keeps amplifier choice wide open. It suits a small room, a desk system, or the front pair of a compact cinema where floor space has run out.
