The Reserve R300 is the compact centre channel in the range, sized to fit beneath a television rather than to dominate the shelf it sits on.
Its enclosure is sealed rather than ported, which is an unusual choice for a centre channel and a deliberate one. Sealed bass rolls away more gently and stays tighter, and in a centre that shows up as dialogue which stays intelligible instead of thickening.
Twin turbine cones flank the ring radiator tweeter, with the crossover set low so that the tweeter takes over early and holds voices coherent across a row of seats rather than only the middle one.
It partners naturally with either Reserve standmount, and its modest depth makes it practical in cabinets where a larger centre channel simply will not fit.
