The Vestra W10 is the compact subwoofer in the range, and its sealed cabinet is the reason to consider it over a larger ported box in a small room.
Sealed loading rolls away more gradually than a port does. What that buys is a low end which integrates with the main speakers instead of arriving as a separate event, and it also makes placement near a wall far less fraught.
Three preset modes cover the usual split between music and film, and a phase switch deals with the timing mismatch that occurs when the subwoofer cannot sit alongside the front pair.
A cabinet this size disappears beside a sofa or under a console. Used singly it fills a study or a bedroom system, and Monitor Audio intends it to be used in multiples where one is not enough.
