Monitor Audio Gold 50 6G Bookshelf Speaker
The Monitor Audio Gold 50 6G is the compact standmount of the Gold Series 6G, a two-way speaker that brings the range's engineering and finish to rooms where a smaller cabinet makes more sense.
Treble comes from the MPD III transducer, while a single bass-mid driver carries voices and instruments below it. With just two drivers sharing the music, a stereo pair keeps a focused, intimate presentation that suits close listening.
The cabinet breathes through a HiVe II port, giving that bass-mid driver more reach than its size suggests. Monitor Audio describes the speaker as incredibly flexible in its positioning, and it is equally at home on stands or a sturdy shelf.
Magnetic grilles are included, and a choice of Macassar wood veneer or High Gloss Black gives the pair a finish to suit the room. Stand owners can partner it with the ST-2 Universal Stand, sold separately.
