Monitor Audio Gold 50 6G Bookshelf Speaker
The Gold 50 6G is the smallest way into the Monitor Audio Gold range, and it makes a persuasive case for standmounts in rooms where a floorstander would simply be too much. One mid-bass cone and a pleated diaphragm tweeter handle everything between them.
Hexagonal diaphragm technology stiffens that cone without adding mass, which holds the midrange together at the point where a smaller driver usually begins to strain.
The pleated tweeter reaches far beyond audibility, and more usefully it spreads evenly across the room, so the stereo image stays where it was put when a listener shifts on the sofa.
Sold in pairs and easy to place on stands or a shelf, it suits a first serious system or a second room where quality counts for more than scale.
