A four inch mid driver and a gold dome tweeter cover the band that height effects genuinely occupy, which is upper midrange and treble rather than anything approaching bass.

Its crossover sits high, handing to the tweeter well above the point where the main speakers do their work, and a waveguide around the dome keeps that treble controlled as it leaves the cabinet.

Supplied in pairs and finished to match the Bronze standmounts and floorstanders, it stacks on top of them without looking like something added later. In a system built one stage at a time, that matching is worth more than it first appears.

Monitor Audio Bronze AMS 7G official product page

Main Features

ITEM

DESCRIPTION

Height channel speaker

The upper layer of an immersive system rather than a wider front.

Compact two-way design

A four inch mid driver and gold dome tweeter in a small cabinet.

High crossover point

Hands to the tweeter well above the main speakers' working band.

Waveguide-loaded tweeter

Treble stays controlled as it leaves the cabinet.

Finish-matched to the range

Stacks on Bronze standmounts and floorstanders as a set.

Specifications

DETAIL

VALUE

System format

2-Way

Driver complement

1 x 4" C-CAM mid-range driver, 1 x 25mm C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter with optimised waveguide

Frequency response (in-room)

83 Hz — 30 kHz (-6dB)

Sensitivity

86 dB (2.83 Vrms @ 1m, Free-Field)

Nominal impedance

8 Ohms

Minimum impedance

3.7 Ohms @ 10 kHz

Recommended amplifier power

30 - 120 W into 4 Ohms; 10 - 60 W into 8 Ohms

Crossover frequency

LF/HF: 4.8 kHz

Maximum peak spl

110 dB (AES75, Z-weighted)

External dimensions

173 x 185 x 302 mm (6 13/16 x 7 5/16 x 11 7/8")

Weight

3.1 kg each

Sold as

Pair

Included Items

ITEM

QUANTITY

Bronze AMS 7G loudspeaker

Pair
