Description

MoFi Electronics StudioSilver MC Phono Cartridge

In a focused music room, moving from MM to MC changes the demands placed on the tonearm setup and phono input. StudioSilver is a low-output moving-coil cartridge for listeners who want a MicroLinear contact profile and boron cantilever without moving to the UltraGold. It fits a carefully set up tonearm in a main stereo system and needs an MC phono input with appropriate gain.

The neodymium magnet, permendur yoke and PCOCC coils form the generator behind the nude stylus. Because the output is modest, cable routing and phono-stage noise matter more here than they do with a typical moving-magnet cartridge.

StudioSilver rewards precise alignment and an MC stage with enough quiet gain for its low output.
