A small turntable system in a lounge or home office still needs quiet gain and the right cartridge loading. StudioPhono is a compact phono stage for a turntable that needs more cartridge control than a fixed-input amplifier provides. Tim de Paravicini's circuit supports both moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges without adding a headphone section to the signal path.
Rear-panel setup covers gain and loading, while mono and subsonic switches deal with older pressings and record-warp energy. Its small case can sit close to the turntable, which helps keep the low-level cartridge cable run short.
StudioPhono fits systems that need proper cartridge setup but send headphone duties elsewhere.
