In a listening room with more than one turntable or cartridge, setup changes should not interrupt the evening for long. MasterPhono is the control centre for a vinyl system that changes cartridges or runs more than one turntable. Peter Madnick's fully discrete circuit accepts voltage-mode and current-mode inputs, with front-panel access to gain, loading, mono and filtering rather than a row of hidden switches underneath the case.
Balanced and unbalanced connections make it easier to integrate into a serious preamplifier or active-speaker system. The power supply and audio circuits occupy separate chassis sections, and the analogue meters can monitor output or assist with cartridge calibration.
Black Ash and Walnut are separate finish variants at the same catalogue price. Either version suits a rack or sideboard where the front panel remains accessible during cartridge setup.
