MartinLogan Motion Foundation C1 is a wide centre-channel speaker designed to keep dialogue stable across a multi-seat cinema. The C1's Satin White cabinet gives the speaker a lighter visual presence while the black baffle keeps attention on the drivers.
Two 5.5-inch aluminium drivers flank the Folded Motion tweeter in a 2.5-way arrangement. The crossover rolls the outer driver away earlier than the inner one, a useful approach for controlling horizontal interference without giving up the output of a dual-woofer centre.
Place the C1 as close to the screen as the furniture allows and aim its baffle toward seated ear height. Its rear ports need ventilation, so a fully closed cabinet is not the right home unless the joinery has been designed around the speaker.
