Denon DHT-S218 is a low-profile 2.1 soundbar with two down-firing subwoofers built into the cabinet. It is meant for a television room that wants clearer dialogue and fuller bass without finding space or power for a separate subwoofer.
HDMI eARC carries compatible Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD and multichannel PCM from the television. Optical and analogue inputs cover older screens or music sources, while Bluetooth LE Audio adds the LC3 codec alongside standard SBC playback.
Three dialogue-enhancer levels and Pure Mode give useful alternatives to the normal cinema processing. The bar can sit on furniture or use its keyhole mounts on the wall, and a separate powered subwoofer can still be added through the rear output.
