Anthem MDX-12 Distribution Amplifier
The MDX-12 is a distribution amplifier, which means it exists to feed many rooms rather than to impress in one. Twelve channels of music from a single rack unit is the whole proposition.
Channels can be bridged in pairs where a zone needs more than its share, so a main living space and a bathroom can run from the same chassis without either being compromised for the other.
Six dedicated inputs give each zone its own source, and two global inputs cover the material that should play everywhere at once. That split is what distributed audio actually needs day to day.
Distortion stays low across all twelve channels, and load monitoring watches each one independently. For a rack that nobody visits between service calls, reliability counts for far more than headline power, and this is a chassis built to be forgotten about.
